Li Puma, who will officially celebrate his 80th birthday on July 5, has most recently produced Short Stories, the forthcoming album by trumpeter Dominick Farinacci. Farinacci first met LiPuma at the age of 16, when he was a participant in the Tri-C Jazz Studies program. Short Stories will be released on Mack Avenue Records on June 10.
