
The 3rd Springfield Jazz & Roots Festival will take place in Springfield, Massachusetts on August 6, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The festival is a free event produced by the nonprofit organization Blues to Green.
This year’s festival will be headlined by singer and guitarist Taj Mahal, who recently received the B.B. King Award at the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal. The lineup also includes drummer Terri Lyne Carrington, organist Joey DeFrancesco and guitarist and producer Eric Krasno.
In addition to live music, the Springfield Jazz & Roots Festival will feature dance, theater and spoken-word performances, as well as workshops taught by music experts.
