Russian alto saxophonist Zhenya Strigalev will embark on a tour of the U.K. and Ireland throughout July with his Never Group Trio, which features bassist Michael Janisch and drummer Marc Ayza.
The tour is scheduled to start on the 1st of July with a performance at London's Ray's Jazz and will conclude on the 29th of July with a performance at Cambridge's Hot Numbers.
His latest album, Never Group, was released through Janisch's Whirlwind Recordings in April and was recorded over two days in Berlin with electric bassist Tim Lefebvre and drummer Eric Harland, with guest performances from keyboardist John Escreet, double bassist Matt Penman, vocalist Charles Armstrong and trumpeter Alex Bonney.
