The fourth edition of Rahsaanathon, a celebration of the life and music of multi-instrumentalist Rahsaan Roland Kirk, will take place at Cafe Stritch in San Jose, California, from August 3-7.
The event will feature live performances of Kirk's work by such artists as Steve Turre & the Eulipion All Stars featuring James Carter and the Sonelius Smith Quartet featuring Claire Daly.
In addition to the live music, Cafe Stritch will also host a special screening of The Case of the Three Sided Dream, the 2014 documentary on Kirk's life. The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with its director Adam Kahan.
