Seven Ray Charles albums recorded on Atlantic Records from 1957 to 1961 will be re-released in a deluxe vinyl box-set titled Ray Charles Atlantic Years in Mono.
The set features Ray Charles (1957), The Great Ray Charles (1957), Yes Indeed! (1958), What’d I Say (1959), The Genius of Ray Charles (1959), The Genius After Hours (1961) and The Genius Sings the Blues (1961).
All albums have been remastered in mono for the first time since the ’60s and are pressed to 180g heavyweight black vinyl. In addition, the set will include a 28-page booklet of photos, notes and credits as well as replicated artwork and labels from the original studio album releases.
Ray Charles Atlantic Years in Mono will be released on September 23rd, on Charles’s 86th birthday anniversary.
