Kossi Mawun was born in West Africa, Togo. At the age of 9 he was playing in groups In 2003 he joined WAABB a percussion and brass group. From there he met Danau Ella a jazz drummer who gave him the secrets of jazz drums.His love for drums and percussion, and his work have made him noticed by several Jazz festivals in Ouaga, Togoville Jaz. On November 15, 2019 he launched his solo album, the fruit of relentless and passionate research, a cocktail of traditional music, of Togolese inspiration dressed in jazz. WÈDO is called the album.
