Greg Runions is a Canadian composer/arranger from Kingston, Ontario. His original works have been performed by his big band, septet, the Kingston Symphony and ensembles at schools in Canada, the U.S., the Netherlands and Italy. His compositions were featured at the first Jazz Composers Symposium in Tampa, Florida in 2006/2019, the ArtEz Composition Contest in Enschede, Netherlands in 2013 and Scrivere in Jazz 2018 in Italy. Greg’s big band has featured outstanding guest artists Brian Dickinson, Tim Hagans, Bret Zvacek, Don Thompson, David Braid, Joe Sullivan, Andrew Rathbun, Quinsin Nachof, John MacLeod, and Kenny Wheeler.
