Soprano Meets Bass

Sephardic Treasures (Ansonica)

Alan Lewine is a double bass player, producer and composer, playing primarily “jazz” during his 40+ year career, and leading, playing on and/or producing 18 albums as CEO/founder of Owlsong Productions. Alan has played throughout the US and around the world as a leader and sideman. This album is co-led by Spanish soprano Ana María Ruimonte and reimagines medieval Sephardic songs in a modern jazz/flamenco/mideastern/classical recombinant world fusion style. You’ve never heard anything like this before.
