judo is a partnership and musical collaboration between guitarist Justin Canavan and keyboardist Doug Ferdinand. Built upon chemistry from working together for nearly a decade, judo aims to deliver a fresh take on instrumental, melodic music. judo maintains inspiration from classic sounds and musical devices of jazz fusion, while incorporating more modern idioms and sonic textures. The group’s debut release “Perception” displays the detail and focus of these instrumental arrangements while pushing forward to find unexplored musical territory.
