Mavel D (Mavel D)

Born Mavel de la Rosa (also known as Mavel D) in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) and raised in Barcelona, Spain Mavel D grew up listening to a wide range of music. Mavel D is a supernaturally gifted singer and songwriter whose musical influence is inspired in The Weekend, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Rihanna among others.

“I’m calling begging for mercy”, an electro – pop, dance – pop song is Mavel D’s first artistic approach to songwriting. The single was originally written in a songwriting session at a Hillsong church in Brisbane, Australia, where she lived for over 2 years. It is inspired by religious images to raise a romantic connection with oneself. It is part of a healing process where mercy to oneself, to our body and soul plays a main role in those days when one can get up empty as if everything is out of control.
