Kalya Ramu (1993) is a Classic Jazz vocalist, bandleader and composer from Toronto, ON. With 14 years of performance experience and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music from Humber College, Kalya has been taking the Toronto Jazz scene by storm. On May 10, 2019 Kalya released her debut solo Jazz album, Living in a Dream, which captures the essence of music from the golden age of Jazz. Kalya’s singing is nostalgic and dynamic, and has been compared to the vocal stylings of Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee and Billie Holiday.
