Karen Lyu Jazz Experience (JazzMine Records)

Karen Lyu is a unique and animated jazz singer/songwriter who loves to give playful, powerful and unforgettable performances. Born in Seoul, Korea, she grew up with her immigrant family in the US and earned a Jazz Studies degree at Cornell College in 1993. Karen’s singing has been featured on National Public Radio, Democracy Now, film, TV, radio, cable and all kinds of stages internationally. Her honors include a 2010 MusiCares Emergency Grant, a 2010 NashvilleMuse Songwriter Award, and a 2007 MN State Arts Board Grant. Karen currently sings with 3 dynamic jazz groups based in Seoul, Korea.
