Matheus Barbosa is a young awarded guitar player from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Living in Toninho Horta’s and “Clube da Esquina” movement city, his playing is full of original harmonic concepts, drowned with beautiful melodic playing. Matheus is getting his place in the instrumental scene gradually.
He has two important awards for composition and arrangement: BDMG Instrumental, the greatest award in the Brazillian instrumental scene.
And now he has a brand new EP, Acrópolis, and a collaborative album with the pianist Marcus Abjaud, called Religare. Both available for streaming.
