A Gathering (Self release)

The Jac is a modern jazz octet featuring talent from Wellington, NZ, Melbourne, AUS and Montreal, CAN. In 2020 they are celebrating 10 years of playing together with the release of their new studio album “A Gathering”. The music fuses their signature cinematic style with the traditional sounds of Korea, inspired by their 2017 collaboration with traditional/jazz fusion group, Black String, and subsequent tour of South Korea. The track ‘Tūī’ from the album received the national Best Jazz Composition of the Year award.
