Jazz Festivals, a new photobook comprising the works of photographer Jim Marshall, has been released on Reel Art Press.
This is the first in a series of books to be published by Reel Art Press in collaboration with the Jim Marshall Archive. It comprises photographs taken by Marshall at various jazz festivals during the 1960s. The snapshots capture performances by such artists as Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane and Nina Simone.
Jazz Festivals is introduced by a foreword by President Bill Clinton and jazz writer Nat Hentoff.
