Verve Records will celebrate its 60th anniversary throughout 2016 with a series of reissues from artists such as Charlie Parker, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Count Basie, Louis Armstrong, Bill Evans and many more.

The first set of releases is due out in March and will include a new digital collection titled Verve 60, featuring 60 tracks by 60 different artists that were recorded throughout the label history. It will also include Jazz at Philarmonic: The Ella Fitzgerald Set, a compilation which brings together all the vocalist’s Jazz at Philarmonic performances on one collection for the first time, and features guest appearences by Charlie Parker, Lester Young and Hank Jones.

In addition, several albums from the Verve catalog will be reissued of vinyl, while several others will also make their deuts in HD digital audio and iTunes. Among the classic titles are Ella & Louis, Billie Holiday’s Lady Sings the Blues, Charlie Parker with Strings, Oscar Peterson’s Night Train and Count Basie’s April in Paris.
