Detect Classic Festival 2024

July 19 - July 21

From June 19th to 21st, 2024, the 800-year-old Schloss Bröllin estate transforms into the grounds for the Detect Classic Festival, showcasing exciting jazz/avant-garde, classical and electronica artists in the idyllic German countryside

The Detect Classical festival is a true celebration of diverse musical genres, featuring an impressive lineup of over 80 acts ranging from electronica to classical music and jazz. Featuring notable jazz acts such as the Pop Drum Trio, who masterfully explores polyrhythmic structures, blending light and dark, organic and synthetic sounds to create compositions that captivate listeners through subtle complexities. Additionally, the dynamic partnership between Greek vibraphonist Evi Filippou and German-Romanian double bass player Robert Lucaciu transcends rigid genre boundaries, drawing inspiration from 20th and 21st-century classical compositions, jazz rhythms, and folklore traditions, showcasing boundless creativity. It’s also worth noting Bobby Rausch, who embodies the sound of young Berlin, inspired by digital and analog sources, jazz and hip hop influences, as well as composition and improvisation.

The carefully curated program also presents exciting vocal acts (featuring the Neuer Kammerchor Berlin, classical and electronic artist Die Wilde Jagd, singer from Brussels Radio Hito, Perera Elsewhere performing with full band, and noufān, a poet and jazz musician from Iran), classical concerts (e.g. Scottish composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Erland Cooper with ensemble), as well as talented DJs (featuring Mira, Lithuanian producer Roe Deers, Berghain resident JakoJako, and the influential sound maker martha van straaten).

Surprise intermezzo performances will occur on all stages throughout the event, featuring both electronic and acoustic performers and seamlessly connecting each act. The theme of this year’s festival, voices, will also be explored through interactive installations, panels, and workshops for adults and kids.
