The Empire State Building celebrated Tony Bennett’s 90th birthday

The Empire State Building held a special tribute on August 3 to celebrate the 90th birthday of vocalist and New York City native Tony Bennett.

Singer-songwriter Lady Gaga flipped the switch for the building’s choreographed music-to-light show. The iconic skyscraper was then lit up in the colors of the Italian and American flags, in honor of Bennett’s Italian-American heritage. In addition to Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Bruce Willis, John Travolta and Martin Scorsese were all in attendance.
