The House of Miles East St. Louis (HOME) is a non-profit organization set up to restore the dilapidated childhood home of trumpeter Miles Davis. The property, located on Kansas Avenue in East St. Louis, Illinois, has been vacated for several years and is in need of extensive repairs.
In order to raise the funds required for the renovation, HOME has set up a crowdfunding campaign on gofundme.com, with a goal to raise $50,000. HOME also states on its crowdfunding page that “with the renovation of this home, this will be a sanctioned place to socialize, tour, and develop artistic/cultural skills, which will be useful throughout many lives.”
