Carol Duboc to help send young female musician to NJPAC jazz camp next summer

Singer songwriter Carol Duboc will be releasing her new album Open the Curtains on Gold Note Music on August 19.

Open the Curtains is Duboc’s eighth album as leader and features an all-female lineup, which includes percussionist Sheila E., pianist and vocalist Patrice Rushen, saxophonist Mindi Abair, guitarists Bibi McGill and Jennifer Batten, drummer Queen Cora Coleman, bassist Rhonda Smith and trombonist and vocalist Aubrey Logan.

Duboc has also joined forces with the non-profit organization International Women in Jazz. She has established a Pledge Music campaign to send a young aspiring female musician to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center summer camp in 2017. In order to raise the funds needed for tuition, travel and accommodation, she will be donating merchandise and signed CDs via Pledge Music.
