34th Guinness Cork Jazz Festival to take place on October 28-31

The 34th Guinness Cork Jazz Festival will take place in Cork, Ireland, on October 28-31.

This year, the festival program will include a wide and varied schedule of activities, welcoming around 1000 musicians from 20 different countries to the city of Cork.

Pianist Justin Kauflin is scheduled to open the festival on October 28 in a double bill with multi-instrumentalist Jacob Collier. Other jazz headline acts scheduled to perform at this year’s edition include pianist Robert Glasper and vibraphonist Jason Marsalis.

A highlight event will take place on October 29, when six marching bands from overseas will take part in a parade that will make its way through the streets of Cork. In addition, the Cork School of Music will play host to numerous free of charge workshops and masterclasses presented by the stars of the festival.
